When the wonders of a well-known vineyard encounter the best in gastronomy… Two gourmet events dedicated to proponents of excellence, two wine and food pairing dinners and a Master Class, hosted jointly by La Réserve Paris and the Château Cos d'Estournel.

A DINNER EMBODYING THE PEAK OF GASTRONOMY AND WINEMAKING

Located at Saint-Estèphe en Gironde, the Château Cos d’Estournel develops wines that are considered to be some of the best in Bordeaux. An exceptional dinner will offer an opportunity to discover them in all their subtlety, thanks to a menu that has been specially designed around pairing. Developed by Jérôme Banctel, Executive Chef of the two Michelin-starred Le Gabriel Restaurant, and Head Sommelier, Aurélien Gil-Artagan, this seven-course dinner pays tribute to treasures from the Château’s cellar – and in particular a rare 2013 Cos d’Estournel Blanc – alongside a range of sophisticated dishes including: scallops from the Baie de Seine, Osciètre caviar, essence of Jerusalem artichoke, duck foie gras, candied beetroot and figs, Tasmanian berries, line-caught sea bass, mushroom ravioli, candied black shallots, and truffled Vacherin… 

The event will take place at Le Gabriel Restaurant at La Réserve Paris, and will be attended by Dimitri Augenblick, Director of Development at the Cos d’Estournel.

DECEMBER 6TH2018
MASTER CLASS & PAIRING DINNER

An evening at which the wines of Cos d’Estournel will reveal all their secrets in the elegant yet cozy setting of the Duc de Morny library. The Master Class will be hosted by a duo of experts, Dimitri Augenblick, Director of Development at Cos d’Estournel, and Aurélien Gil-Artagnan, Head Sommelier at La Réserve Paris – Hotel and Spa. 

This introduction to winemaking promises to a unique opportunity to understand the fundamentals of tasting, while discovering the treasures and mysteries surrounding the Cos d’Estournel terroir. Following a tasting of six Cos d’Estournel and Pagodes de Cosvintages, Master Class participants will have the option of continuing the evening with a wine pairing dinner at La Pagode de Cos Restaurant. Gathered around a unique table of ten guests, the discussion will be able to continue informally, in the company of the Master Class hosts at the ready to answer all questions.
