To celebrate the holiday season and the 10th anniversary of La Réserve Paris, Jordan Talbot unveils a creation evoking the spirit of Christmas. To mark this precious moment, the Pastry Chef of the Parisian palace hotel reveals “L’Astre d’Or”, a Yule Log resembling a stylized North Star.

For this new gourmet chapter, La Réserve Paris’ Yule Log draws its inspiration from Nordic winter tales. It owes much of its inspiration to traditional handmade Christmas garlands. The design of “L’Astre d’Or”, with its geometric lines and coppery sheen, also echoes the Belle Epoque, in tribute to the Avenue Gabriel’s golden age. The velvety red palette and sparkling gold accents make it a true emblem, topped with the establishment’s anniversary seal.
With “L’Astre d’Or”, Jordan Talbot uses a unique interplay of textures to take the art of indulgence to a whole new level. The dessert consists of a Fleur de Sel Crisp, Soft Biscuit and Caramel infused with Sweet Spices (vanilla, Timut pepper and tonka bean), within which a creamy Rice Pudding filling and a Light Mousse made with three types of Vanilla (Madagascar, Tahiti and Mexico) awaken the taste buds. A harmony of flavours, where every bite brings back childhood memories.
