To prolong the magic of the festive season, Jordan Talbot is unveiling a unique version of the traditional Galette des Rois (Three Kings Cake) for Epiphany. The Pastry Chef at La Réserve Paris has created a poetic take on this classic dessert, named “Fleur de Noisette”.

During this upcoming culinary event, Jordan Talbot pays tribute to his homeland, Brittany, which he shares with Jérôme Banctel, the Parisian palace hotel’s three-Michelin-starred Chef. The pastry Chef honors crêpes dentelles, which appear to bloom like flowers in a setting crowned with caramelized hazelnut splinters.
Beneath this crispy golden exterior lies fresh butter puff pastry enveloping frangipane cream with a delicate trio of hazelnuts, Valencia almonds and toasted vanilla. Finished with an intense Piedmont hazelnut center, this entire creation promises moments of delicious indulgence and sharing that will delight young and old alike.
The Galette des Rois contains a ceramic charm, adorned with the Maison’s anniversary insignia (La Réserve Paris is currently celebrating 10 years of timeless elegance and excellence). Among these exceptional charms, five are adorned with the exclusive establishment’s iconic red door. The lucky sweet-treat lovers who find one will be gifted a Signature Hot Chocolate for two that they can enjoy in the cozy Library.
